Lulin Mountain Trail

Trail distance The total distance is about 1.1 kilometers.

The trail leading to Lulin Mountain can be accessed from the entrance of Lulin Mountain (Lulin Trail) at 106.1 K of Provincial Highway 18, Lulin Hut, or the saddle of Linzhi Mountain.

The Lulin Trail is about 1.1 kilometers long and the walk is shaded by the forest. The ground is carpeted with Yushan Cane leaves and pine needles. There are plants for shade such as Reddening Maples, Taiwan red pines, schefflera taiwaniana, prunus obtusata, and other woody plants, bringing changes to the trail in four seasons. After exiting the trail to head to Lulin Lodge, go up another 150 meters to Lulin Hut to take a short break (public toilets and drinking fountains available). Take the trail covered by Taiwan red pines, Armand pines, Yushan Canes for another 700 meters to reach the top of Lulin Mountain, at an elevation of 2,845 meters.

The trail from the saddle of Linzhi Mountain heading southwest to the top of Lulin Mountain along the ridge is about 1.2 kilometers. The sun exposure is greater. The trail has Taiwan red pines, Armand pines, Taiwanese andromeda, and Yushan Cane slopes, where visitors can also see the white wood forest formed after fires in the early days.

◎ Dongpu Prairie, Linzhi Mountain, Black Forest, Lulin Mountain, and Lulin Qianshan are connected by Nanxi and Yushan forest trail, forming a network of trails.
