Notification of black bear

Formosan black bears can travel a vast area. Their population is small and they are concealed. Yushan National Park is a place with a distribution density higher than other locations. In order to understand their geographical distribution and appearance in the mountains, we hope that the introduction of collective efforts will help us collect the records of their sightings in Yushan National Park and the surrounding areas, and the information includes visual sightings, footprints, scratch marks, broken branches, and excretion. The immediate report of sightings can clarify the circumstances of their sightings, and responsive actions can help travelers avoid possible conflicts.
