Meishan Visitor Center is located on Provincial Highway 20, Southern Cross-Island Highway, and is a gateway to enter Yushan National Park. The facility provides guided tours for visitors and has a Bunun cultural exhibition center to introduce the indigenous Bunun culture. Meishan Botanical Garden sits opposite the visitor center and has many description labels to enable visitors to know about Taiwan's native species and common plants. Meishan Gift Shop is on the left side of the road from the visitor center heading toward Meishankou. The operations have been contracted out, and the facility sells coffee, food, beverage and local agricultural produces. There is a campsite on the left side of the shop available to people who wish to camp in the area (fees required).

Yushan-related promotional films, the videos start at 10:00, 11:00, 13:30, and 15:30. (For groups of more than 20 people, videos can be played for the groups every half an hour between 09:00 and 16:00)
