Route introduction

The three major mountains along Southern Cross-Island Highway, Kuhanuoxin Mountain, Taguan Mountain and Guanshanling Mountain, and Guan Mountain have their trailheads along Southern Cross-Island Highway (Jinjing Bridge for Guan Mountain and Kuhanuoxin Mountain, the spot 2.5 kilometers past Kuaigu for Taguan Mountain, and the spot near Daguanshan Tunnel for Guanshanling Mountain).

These four mountains, all with an elevation of more than 3,000 meters, are part of the 100 Peaks of Taiwan. Guanshan is shaped like a pyramid and is a boundary mountain on the south side of Yushan National Park.

The trail of Taguan Mountain is about 2.2 kilometers. The trail of Guanshanling Mountain is about 1.5 kilometers. The trail is 5.6 kilometers for Guanshan.
