Trail distance The total distance is about 1 kilometer.

The top of Linzhi Mountain, at an elevation of 2,854 meters, can be accessed through the saddles of Linzhi Mountain and Tataka.

The trail from the saddle of Linzhi Mountain going east to the top of Linzhi Mountain is about 800 meters long. Walking along the ridgeline, visitors can see firefighting grass slopes several meters wide which are cut regularly to prevent forest fires. Along the way, visitors can see Taiwan red pines, Armand pines, Taiwanese andromeda, Taiwan cunninghamia, red cypress, and other woody plants. There is a black pond that provides water for wild animals. Visitors may be able to check how many kinds of footprints there are. About 100 to 200 meters away from the mountain top, the view is excellent. Visitors can see Lulin Qianshan (Lulin Observatory), Lulin Mountain, Alishan, Tataka Visitor Center, and Dongpu Mountain.

The ascending slope from the Tataka Anbu (Saddle of Tataka) to Linzhi Mountain is about 1 kilometer. Turn toward the front peak of Mt. Jade, and the trail leading to Yushan and Nanxi forest trail is within sight of the spot where visitors stand. This section of the trail does not have many tree shades, so the exposure to sunlight and wind is greater.

◎ Dongpu Prairie, Linzhi Mountain, Black Forest, Lulin Mountain, and Lulin Qianshan are connected by Nanxi and Yushan forest trail, forming a network of trails.
