In order to enhance our understanding and appreciation of endangered Formosan black bears, this project is designed to develop and establish the website of Conservation and Research of Formosan Black Bears. Through the information transformation of internet systems, this will help people to understand the distribution, ecological habits, research and conservation status of eight species of bears in the world. For the endemic Formosan black bears, the information includes morphological characteristics, geographical distribution, habit, behavior, diet, reproduction, and conservation and research history of the species. We hope to provide updated information about Formosan black bears to improve the conservation education toward this species, and also to provide information for the reference of relevant management organizations.
