The purpose of this investigation of western Qing Dynasty Batonguan Historical Trail at Yushan National Park was to explore the path geographic location and resource condition from Dongpu Military Camp to Batonguan Camp. There were three main results in this project to be discovered or explored: (1) to record the basic resources and path condition of the trail; (2) to discover 4 intersessions of the two trails(Qing Dynasty’s and Japanese time’s tails) between Dongpu Military Camp to Batonguan Camp; and also to discover 2 intersessions from main path to police station of the two trails ; (3) to clarify the around trails of Guangao. This point will be the best and value location to develop interpretative and education programs.
