Feature
The Yellow-throated marten has a body length of 44~46cm and tail length at 35~37cm. The hair color at back is yellowish-brown and gradually turns darker towards the tail. The neck is colored bright yellow with the feet and tail as black, while the jaw and throat area is colored in white. The body is slender and cylindrical.

Habits

The Yellow-throated marten is mostly seen over mountains of 2000m and occasionally discovered in high-altitude regions. The species lives in broad-leaved, coniferous and arrow bamboo (niitakayamensis) forests. With the carnivorous nature, it captures small animals alone, but also hunt medium-large mammals together.
