The Taiwan Spruce is a large plant under Pinaceae Family over regions at medium-high altitude in Taiwan. The species distributes among high lands at an altitude of 2300~3000m in Central Mountains and often grows in mixture with Taiwan Hemlock and Masters Pine. The Taiwan Spruce often grows in groups at upstream of Chenyoulan River and Dajia River, where the growing environment becomes warm and moist valley to avoid winds.
