Introduction

Trail distance The total distance is about 2.5 kilometers.

The first rice field at the foot of Yushan National Park is cultivated by the Bunun tribal people living in Nan-an tribal settlement. It used to produce corn and rice until the Administrative Office advocated for relevant government agencies to help farmers to grow organic crops, further making the brands of "First Rice Field at the Foot of Yushan National Park" and "Walami" more well-known.
Visitors can walk to the rice fields from Nan-an Visitor Center, passing by Nan-an tribal settlement. The fields with light reflection from sunrise and sunset display different magnificent views, such as the mountain reflection on the water during irrigation, the green waves of rice during the seedling season and the golden-yellow waves of rice during the harvest season.
