Take the trailhead of Lulin Qianshan and the top of Lulin Mountain on Yushan forest trail and head west toward Lulin Qianshan, at an elevation of 2,862 meters. Lulin Observatory of National Central University is also at the mountain top. It is for academic research only and not open to visitors.
The trail from Lulin Mountain to Lulin Qianshan is about 700 meters. The trail has Taiwan red pines, Armand pines, and Yushan Cane's vegetation on the two sides.
The walk from the trailhead of Lulin Qianshan to Lulin Qianshan requires a climb of steps measuring about 600 meters in total distance. The trail is covered by the forest so it is relatively humid. Visitors need to watch their steps to avoid slipping. After reaching the deck by the split roads going to Lulin Mountain and Lulin Qianshan, visitors can take a short break on benches before heading toward Lulin Qianshan.

◎Dongpu Prairie, Linzhi Mountain, Black Forest, Lulin Mountain, and Lulin Qianshan are connected by Nanxi and Yushan forest trail, forming a network of trails.
