Subject: Yushan National Park Implements Snow Control Measures for High-Altitude Ecological Protected Areas Above 3,000 Meters from December 19, 2024

Content:
1. Due to the influence of a cold air mass, snowfall has been observed in certain areas within Yushan National Park, with temperatures remaining below zero degrees Celsius. The Central Weather Administration forecasts further snowfall in the coming days. As a result, snow control measures will be enforced in high-altitude regions above 3,000 meters from December 19, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
2. Snow Control Measures:
During the implementation period, visitors equipped with winter hiking experience and gear may still apply for access to areas above 3,000 meters within Yushan National Park. Detailed “Snow Control Application Instructions” can be viewed and downloaded from our website: https://hike.taiwan.gov.tw/en/news_6.aspx.
3. Affected Trails:
(1) Trails passing through areas above 3,000 meters, including Yushan Trail, Batongguan Trail, South Section 2 of the Central Mountains Trail, Mabolasih Trail, Batongguan Traversing Trail, and Sinkang Trail, are subject to snow control measures.
(2) Yushan Trail Day Hike will not be available from December 19, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
(3) Yushan Front Peak Day Hike and Kuhanousin Mountain Trail/Guan Mountain Trail are not affected by these measures. However, hikers must remain vigilant regarding winter trail conditions.
