An Investigation for the Butterfly Fanua ofNantzuhsienchi Area, Yushan National Park, 2024

玉山國家公園楠溪保育研究站自 106 年起建構為科研基地供科學研究及環境教育用途使用,然而相較鄰近塔塔加遊憩區有長期的蝶相調查資料,此區域之蝶類相資訊仍相當缺乏。本計畫延續前期計畫於 110 年建構之蝶類長期監測調查方式,自 113 年1 月起至 12 月止,每季進行三次樣線調查,結果共獲得 460 隻次共 72 種之蝶類。結合前人及本研究之調查成果,本次調查新增 8 種蝶種,將塔塔加地區之蝶類紀錄增加至 175 種。玉山國家公園全園區共記錄 292 種蝶類,包含 43 種臺灣特有種。本次調查的新紀錄物種多發現於海拔最低之樣線 D,包含臺灣瑟弄蝶 (Seseria formosana)、黃星弄蝶 (Ampittia virgata myakei)、淡褐脈粉蝶 (Cepora nadina eunama)、黃豹盛蛺蝶 (Symbrenthia brabira scatinia)、寬帶線蛺蝶 (Limenitis jina sauteri) 、金鎧蛺蝶 (Chitoria chrysolora) 、 臺 灣 燦 蛺 蝶 (Sephisa daimio) 及 甲 仙 翠 蛺 蝶 (Euthalia kosempona)。 上述後 2 種為此地區一年一世代蝶種。本次調查相較於 110 年度同地點的調查,樣線 D 內及楠溪橋周遭皆記錄大量之截脈絹粉蝶(Aporia kuangtungensis cheni)成蝶,顯示楠梓仙溪流域有此蝶種的穩定族群分布。另外,本研究亦進行白漪波眼蝶(Ypthima yamanakai)首次完整生活史的記錄,並持續觀察截脈絹粉蝶之生活史。

The Nantzuhsienchi Conservation Research Station in Yushan National Park has served as a research base for scientific studies and environmental education since 2017. However, compared to the adjacent Tataka Recreation Area, which has long-term butterfly survey data, information on butterfly diversity in this region remains scarce. This project continued the long-term butterfly monitoring and survey methods established in 2021. From January to December 2024, three transect surveys were conducted each season, resulting in a total of 460 individual butterflies representing 72 species. Combining the findings of this study with previous research, eight new butterfly species were recorded, increasing the documented species in the Tataka area to 175. Across Yushan National Park, a total of 292 butterfly species have been recorded, including 43 species endemic to Taiwan. The newly recorded species in this survey were mostly observed alog transect D, the lowest elevation transect. These species include Seseria formosana, Ampittia virgata myakei, Cepora nadina eunama, Symbrenthia hypselis scatinia, Limenitis jina sauteri, Chitoria chrysolora, Sephisa daimio, and Euthalia kosempona. The latter two species are univoltine in this region. Compared to the survey conducted in 2021 at the same site, transect D and the surrounding area near Nanxi Bridge recorded a significant number of adult Aporia kuangtungensis cheni, indicating a stable population of this species in the Nantzuhsienchi. Additionally, this study documented, for the first time, the complete life cycle of Ypthima yamanakai and observed the life history of Aporia kuangtungensis cheni.
