Contracted Safety Assessment and Safety Planning for the Colonial-Era Batongguan Trail System
英文摘要
The present project conducted field inspections of the ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ infrastructures that are associated with the Batongguan Traversing Trail and proposed plans for related improvements. These activities were based on a careful analysis of available reference materials and on the results of project-related site investigations. Activities completed for this project include:
1. Revisit and assess current signage, facilities, shelters, water sources, branch trails, distance markers, slope changes, and other critical assets. Develop and draft an appropriate trail-management plan.
2. Investigate collapsed trail sections and scout out relatively safe alternative routes that avoid / circumvent these sections. Develop and draft related management regulations for these higher-risk areas.
3. Propose emergency measures for managing critical cultural assets, including the stone wall at Duomeili Station and Yisila Suspension Bridge.
